The Day Before Chinese New Year My eyes stings badly right now. ~Rubs eyes~ . No thanks to the smokes emitted by what else but firecrackers everybody ignites during Chinese New Year including yours truly. Ahh, the sight and sound of the 10 feet firecracker....Impressive. The only side effect will be the recurring red eyes of mine, but isn't red an auspicious color during Chinese New Year, no? Basically, I just lazed around throughout the day. I won't be of much help at the kitchen anyways other than help consuming all the food and making a mess in the process. I am better off taking my much needed nap to look better on Day One of CNY. My eye bags and sore red eyes are partially cured, i don't look like a sick person anymore! Did I mention i went shopping at Pyramid on Monday and came back home empty handed after 6 hours there? Guess if shopping is a subject in school, i will never pass. So, I will have to be content with just a minimal number of new clothes with no new shoes. ~sigh~ Reunion dinner was usual as previous years. My youngest uncle and his wife came to have dinner with us though. The dishes was nothing special - the usual Pork's Leg, Fish, Duck, Chicken, Veggies, Fish Gut, Soup...... I don't have the privilege like Shin or Mao and have their reunion dinner at a grand restaurant. But my mom made me promise her that when I am out in the working world, the reunion dinner will be by me in a grand restaurant with all the goodies, she is too lazy to cook every year. What can i do but just nod? I am a filial eldest son after all ~grins I was scratching my head wondering what to do after the dinner. My parents were preparing for the prayers at midnight. Once again I am of not much help. Grabbing the car keys, I took the car out for a stroll around the neighbourhood. Armed with my digicam, my first time fireworks hunting mission begins. ![]() A swirling one. ![]() A colorful one. ![]() A purple one. ![]() A disintegrating red one. ![]() A spraying one. ![]() An explosive one. ![]() Just pure unique. ![]() With night mode on. Another special effect by me. ~winks ![]() A comet looking one. ![]() My 10-foot firecracker. Can't take the full length though. ![]() My youngest bro posing beside it. ![]() The remains. We are not suppose to sweep it, hope no policeman sees this. Hope this year will be joyeous and prosperous to everybody! Wishing everyone a happy CNY. Hope God of Prosperity won't forget me. Let's see what's in store for me tomorrow. Till then, signing OFF. Sunday, February 06, 2005
Irrelevant Woke up today feeling terribly uncomfortable. The surrounding was hot and stuffy. Opened my eyes and noticed the fan ain't moving, the air cond ain't breathing. No doubt the fault lies on TNB. Can't a sick guy sleep in peace on a beautiful Saturday morning? The first thing i did was heading towards the tissue box. The flu bug is still with me and the coughing was going at 4 times/minute. This had gone on for a week and my hopes of it getting better doesn't seem to come true. Since I am one hell of a stubborn person, I am still reluctant to pay the doctor a visit. Just think it wasn't necessary. After all, it's just a flu accompanied by coughing and phlegm, nothing serious. Looked at the mirror later and found out one of my eye is extremely red. The weird thing is i don't feel any itchiness or pain in it. It was just red for no apparent reason. I did not rub my eye either. The cool thing was when i covered half of my face with my palm and look at my evil alter ego with a red eye starring back at me. I looked pretty freaky with a red eye. I may look convincing as a villian on TV. All the previous plans of shopping were dashed when nobody has transportation. Yeah, it's four days to Chinese New Year and i havn't complete my shopping yet. Talk about doing things at the final moments. With no choice and no destination to go, i spent the entire afternoon in front of the computer. What a lame way to spend a Saturday. Speaking about Chinese New Year, there ain't that much of a hype as before. I am just glad I have a week of holz and a solution for my thinning wallet. Blame it on the flu, but i am just not in a New Year mood. Maybe tomorrow will provide a different story. I stepped out of the house only at 10.45pm to join the gang for a mamak session. Mao is just too bored of staying at home, so am I dude, so am I. Everything was normal during mamak until a modified Wira sped on the road with a loud exhaust. Another Wira was making a turn into a junction and the next thing I know.....BANG. Apparently, the modified Wira with a guy wearing a Bluetooth headset did not apply the brakes out of distraction and hit the other Wira. Headlights were crashed and cars dented but the drivers were ok. They stopped by the side for the usual negotiation. In just minutes, a number of cars arrived at the scene. I have no idea whether they were back up or people in the car-towing-after-accident business but they were mostly people with dyed hair, modified LOCAL cars, gangster-looking individuals. Malaysia Boleh. Honestly, i have no idea what today's entry is all about. ~shrugs~ Basically it's all random and irrelevant thingys. I had a double dose of Teh Tarik just now and I guessed the caffein made me ramble too much. I am now high, confused, tired but wide awake all rolled in one. Yeah, i have a temporary change in my blog song from My Immortal to Boulevard of Broken Dreams just because i feel kinda lonely. ~continues to ramble about exams after holz, shopping, Smallville, slow transfer rate, my ability to minimize audio files.....on and on and on and on.......~ Till then signing OFF. Ca$h - Strapped I've never experienced the anguish of being broke - until now. Previously, money isn't a threat to my personal life as a college student cause i am quite thrifty. Saving 50 bucks per month is quite easy but that was all of course in the past. When i opened my wallet today, all that was left was a few 10 bucks notes left. Mind you, i keep all my savings from the previous months in my wallet and they are now gone, all of them, "poof" into thin air. I can't believe i spent so much this month but who have i to blame? Nah, I won't blame the newly-opened AsiaCafe or my curiousity to taste every single cuisine available. Nor would i blame the magnetic forces of the cyber cafes namely Warnet and Inferno that would just suck me into their force field. I won't blame the persuasive-ness of my college mates into joining them for a "single" game of DOTA which will last 3 hours and ain't even single. Blaming my huge appetite and desire to eat during break time and after college isn't a great idea too. Too many movie visits and parties may contribute to my cash strapped situation too. Finding the culprit behind the weight-loss of my wallet ain't the best thing to do right now. I need to find the solution to treat the malnutrition effect in my wallet just like it's owner. So, being thrifty is what i need to do right now, save as much cash as possible. Yeah, and i need that 3 days job at the Sepang Circuit for the cash and experience, try to make it possible Kwan Mun. Maybe i should learn a thing or two from my "businessman" friends by venturing a small part in KLSE. Good thing Chinese New Year ain't that far away, looking forward to all those red packets. (mainly what's inside that is important). ~Apprentice theme song "For the love of Money" by O Jays playing in the background ~ So, till then signing OFF. Sunday, January 30, 2005
SurPr1se Party Birthday is one of those day in the year where joy and happiness never elude from you. A day where attention is all you get. Things get even better if you are spending it with wacky friends full of antics and your birthday is still 1 and a half week away. They are celebrating it in advance to give you a surprise! Not to mention presents too. Am i correct birthday girl? Our class rep - HuiTeng organized a surprise birthday party for our classmate Chun Huey whose birthday falls on the 10th of Feb. The birthday party was organized in advanced due to the fact that February is the time of "ang pows" and everybody will not be free at the moment. James's previous home was the venue for this event since there ain't any adult supervision and there will be loads of fun and freedom. I will let the photos and some captions do all the story-telling later. It all started at 5pm when we reached james's house. The living room was decorated with balloons and greeting cards were drawn by the creative members of our class. Since we ( Me, Sheng, Kmun , Weijie and Syan ) ain't of much help there and the birthday girl ain't coming till 7.30 pm, we went to 1 Utama to search for a birthday present. We were searching high and low wondering what to get as a present while listening to Weijie's nonsensical ideas. To make matters worse, 1 Utama doesn't really match the word "small". After wasting almost an hour on a wild goose chase no thanks to Weijie, we decided to get her accessories. It wasn't an easy task for 5 guys choosing accessories in an all-female dominated shop i assure you. The salesgirls look at us one kind and got fed up with our indecisive-ness. To prevent Weijie from pouting when we rejected his previous ideas, we let him choose whichever accessory we should get. The end result :- ![]() Not the best choice but comparatively better than the previous ideas. It's the sincerity that counts right? Besides, we bumped into Lee Suan in 1 Utama. I waved but in return i got a bashful look. Guess her "secret" is exposed. We hurried back to James's house to be on time leaving our stomach in a rumbling state. When we were back, what we saw was a locked house. Everybody was out to Ikea to cure their hunger by hotdogs and to think we actually hurried back without eating anything. How stupid of us. ![]() Locked Out - Having a fun time by posing. Left to right - Chin Sheng, Kwan Mun, Tze Syan and Weijie. After the waiting, everybody was back preparing for the birthday girl's arrival. Party hats were put on. Everybody was excited especially for the fan club members. ![]() Tze Syan trying to hide himself in the box as a present for Chun Huey. I wonder if this is a great idea. ![]() Party hats are on - Wee Shiong, Siew Ghee , Elbin and Weijie. ![]() Photo shot without the count of 3 - Syan putting on his party hat too. ![]() Everybody in a party mood - The girls Xiao Yao and Teen Yi joining the camshot with their party hat of course. ![]() Everybody is loving the camera. Addition of Weng Lum in the middle, Chin Sheng and Daniel on the left and Wen Jie on the right. After a miss call from HuiTeng indicating that Chuey will be arriving soon, everybody hides ourselves in the kitchen waiting for the sign to come out and surprise her except for a few people that are suppose to be there like James. 20 minutes later after a few false alarms, we heard a drum roll. It's the signal to come out. Wee Shiong head the pack (i wonder why) and everybody ran out of the kitchen shouting " Surprise! Happy Birthday Chuey! " . Too bad i did not have my camera with me to capture her expression. The surprise was almost perfect. The only flaw being her suspecting something when no one was online during that particular afternoon. I was to blame since she smelled something fishy when the avid online-er me did not turn up that afternoon. What's next? Posing, pizzas, drinks, more posing, barbeque, card games and posing. ![]() The shocked birthday girl posing with the drums acting she can really play. ![]() HuiTeng - the mastermind of the surprise party with Chun Huey. ![]() Ghee who loves the camera and Chuey. ![]() Wee Shiong pouring himself a cup of wine after a healthy piece of pizza. Beware, alcohol can make you do things you never dare to do. ![]() Barbeque time! Perfect for stomach grumbling people like me. I don't care whether the chicken is overcooked or too raw.
Remind me not to pass the camera to Kwan Mun. He only took photos of Xiao Yao. Xiao Yao reading a Korean paper Min Woo brought. God of Gamblers in the making with their respective sidekicks.![]() Weng Lum, Teen Yi and Ghee enjoying the food and drinks on the table. ![]() The ultimate poser Min Woo with Elbin and Weng Lum. ![]() The photographers on duty - Elbin, Li Hui and of course yours truly. ![]() Just Daniel. ![]() Ghee looking at Min Woo in a funny way. ![]() Shot two - Guy's tortured by girls. ![]() Anyone interested in signing an all girl band? ![]() Min Woo and Xiao Yao posing. Kwan Mun won't be happy at this photo. ![]() Spread some girl love. ![]() We have another pair here. ![]() Posers on the stairs.
Ok, we know Weng Lum you have a flexible body, Min Woo has a talent for posing and Ghee, you got the girls. BEWARE : partial nudity on the photo below. DO not see if your underage or easily offended. ![]() Literally butt shots - I won't say whose ass is that but Min Woo you are just gross. Here comes the gift giving part:
Chun Huey and her number 2 fan Wee Shiong. Wee Shiong is so shy, at least for a while. ![]() Remember what I warn you about the alcohol WeeShiong? He is now kneeling in a proposing way presenting his gift to Chun Huey. ![]() How sweet and sporting of you WeeShiong, i never thought you would kneel. But i think it's the alcohol. ![]() Here is the birthday cake! Chocolate, yummy. There was this unforgetable moment where HuiTeng brought out another birthday cake saying that the other cake is a surprise for another person. To make things clear, Chin Sheng's birthday is on the 1st of Feb and rumour has it that he has a tiny crush on HuiTeng. When HuiTeng walked over with the cake, i can see the suspence in Chin Sheng's eyes thinking the cake is meant for him. " Happy Belated Birthday Li Hui! " she said. The expression and dissapointment on Chin Sheng's face was priceless. Ouch, that must have hurt eh? Now for the 3rd present : ![]() Who knows what is in the box? One thing for sure, it ain't Tze Syan in the box unlike the previous photo. ![]() The birthday girl can't guess what's in it. I got consent to show what is in the box! So, what do u think is in it? ![]() Peak-A-Boo! ![]() What do you call a guy in a dress and makeup with hairy armpits? ![]() A hybrid you can't wait to get away from. ![]() The sporting James acting sexy with his hands searching unknown territory. ![]() With all due respect, a round of applause to James for being such a sporting hostess, i mean host. He is indeed a great "guy". Well, that's all the photos i have. Anyhow, it was a fun and entertaining day. The party went well. I hope the birthday girl is happy and appreciate what PE6 has in store for her. Now, I wonder who's birthday is next? Till then, signing OFF. Wednesday, January 26, 2005
A sT3p into the Past Memories - The one thing you never fail gaining in every single action you do, in every part of your life. Memories maybe sweet or bitter but nonetheless they provide you the experience you need, the guidance to your path of life. Memories made a comeback today - I went back to high school. It's been a whole year since I step foot on my high school. Wow, time really flies. I can still remember studying for SPM, skipping classes, playing basketball with friends at the lousy high school basketball court, every single detail. The purpose of me going back to high school today was to collect my SPM certificate with a minor side agenda - seeing how our school has become and the availability of eye candies too. Since there was free period from 8am-9am in college, we planned to stop by our high school to collect our cert before heading to college. Kwan Mun drove the car through the back door and we noticed the students were having their daily assembly. Kwan Mun joked at how life was so wonderful back then when waking up late and arriving at school only during recess time is a viable option. We parked the car at a place meant for teachers only to be chased away by some Indian school "parking attendant". I never knew there was one before. We pleaded that we won't be long in there and will be gone in a jiffy. Damn, there goes my chance of surveying eye candies. Walking by the corridor past the school canteen, i can feel the tasteless nasi lemak that we used to have every single day in my mouth. Yucks, lucky i get to eat good food during my breaks now. From afar, we heard a call for Kwan Mun. Looking up, it's nonetheless our ex-classmate Hao Shen accompanied by Eve. We said Hi , waved and continue our journey to the office not wanting to disturb them on their prefect duties. By the way, Eve, you look too unusually decent or "guai" in a prefect's blazer. On our way, we saw the students still on assembly. I thought i caught a glimpse of Julie but i wasn't too sure from that distance. Since they are on assembly, i didn't have a chance to say hi either. Yeah, i met Pn Lisuriani, our "beloved" Add Maths teacher with her famous quote : "Semua sudah tuition kan, sudah pandai, tak payah ajar. " Guess most Malay high school teachers are like that as most students don't really depend on them and turn to tuitions for help. I smiled at her and she nodded at me, but i doubt she even remember my name. The process of collecting our certs was fast. All we did was say our name to the lady in charge, sign and the cert is ours. No need for identification or anything. The cert was nice compared to those "toilet paper" quality certs i used to have. Well, it is from the Ministry of Education, it ought to have a certain standard to it. Looking at my cert, i cringed. Remember the previous post of mine about short of perfection results, i remember it happened to me during SPM too. The A2 of my Bahasa Malaysia literally cost me at least RM 8000. If only it was an A1, things would have been different. Well, i can't complain about my B3 in Mandarin, it was all I expected. After collecting our certs, we immediately head back to our car. Although everyone wanted to stay back to meet and greet our juniors or friends, time, parking attendant and attention doesn't permit us. We had a short chat with Hao Shen before we go, good to know he is still his old humourous self. Hmm... what if i had stayed at high school doing Form 6, what would have been different? Plenty i guess. The most obvious been that DOTA will not be in my life and influencing every friend of mine. I recieved a miss call while we were on the highway back to college. Michelle wanted to know where we are since i told her we will be in school for a while. I apologized and hope we meet another day. Till then, signing OFF. Tuesday, January 25, 2005
Short Of P3rfection Have you ever feel that you have not perform the best even though you did a great job? The feeling of dissatisfaction at a task well done cause you did not achieve the highest possible result. The feeling that you just can't do things perfectly? Well, it certainly happen to me today. As stated earlier, the rumour about AS results been released today has been circulating for the week. No doubt everybody was nervous. Definately I accept the fact i am going to know my results today, but was i nervous? Not a bit. I had adopted the positive thinking attitude knowing that what is done can't be undone. The palms sweaty, heart beating syndrome did not catch up to me and i accepted the fact that worrying is not the best way to handle the situation. Is this an efficient way to tackle a situation like this? Honestly, I have no idea. Names were called. Slips were given out. " Oh my God " and " What the.. " were repeated throughout the process. My name was called out. I retrieved the slip folding it in half. The results i was expecting was actually 3 A's and a B or C for my badly done thinking skills. The paper was opened. ![]() I can't find my results at first glance of the slip. And when i did actually found out that the small letter represents my results, i was like " Ok, this is not what i expected, ". Physics - I expected an A. It turned out to be a B. I thought i did pretty well in my physics paper compare to my trials although practical was tough. Didn't know practical can screw up my physics from getting an A. The fact that my close friends obtaining straight 4 A's doesn't help either. I am definately not happy with this result. Resitting this paper is a viable choice and i am going to do it. It's most logical to make full use of a second chance. I am determined to get an A this time. All i have to blame is myself. Thinking Skills - An A? That is just so unbelievable. To think that i struggled and hardly completed the whole paper, an A seems impossible to me. Maybe i did very good in the first paper and make up for the screw up in the second. Who knows? I am not complaining. But if I have the choice to trade grades with physics, i will definately do so. Chemisty and Maths - Not to sound braggy, but i felt confident in both of these paper. Overall, a short of perfection results. I know that my results are considered fairly good and i was congratulated by my parents. But the dissapointment is there. I am nowhere near a perfectionist, but i crave for good results. I desperately need a scholarship. Well, guess that is how life is. Plenty of people would wanna trade their results with mine and it is unfair if i continue complaining and ranting about my results. Guess i should be happy with what i got. This are my true feelings about my results and no lying and concealing is involved unlike a certain "dude". Hope a clear path stays ahead of me. Till then, signing OFF. Saturday, January 22, 2005
All In One I had been critisized for not updating for a long long time in terms of blogging timeframe. One week to be exact. Guess the phrase " absence makes the heart grows fonder " doesn't apply to blogs. ~shrugs~ Well, I have a pretty concrete excuse for that. College has started, homeworks are making a comeback, time is just scarce. I was either too tired or lazy after doing my homeworks to start blogging. Furthermore, there wasn't anything interesting to write about. Nobody would want to hear about what chapter of maths did i studied at that day or whether i could draw the chemistry phase equilibria graphs. So, since i am pretty free now during the midnite of a weekend, i decide to give my faithful readers a tiny treat -- an update that include some stuffs. My rantings and ravings, a friends birthday, photos, a movie review and anything that springs out of my mind. Beware, everything is completely random and may not have any connection with one another, i will write everything spontaneously with no spesific title. Read at your own risk.
Hmm... let's start with one of my best buddy's birthday! Happy 19th Birthday once again Chee Shin ! Yesterday ( 20th of Jan ) was Shin's birthday. I knew him for like almost 10 years, a golden friendship i treasure a lot. This year, there wasn't any traditional ambushes on the birthday boy since a lot of people are unavailable at the moment. We saved him the pain as he was already ambushed with eggs by his college mates. So, we decided just to catch a midnight movie together, hang out together after his arrival from Kajang. At least he won't be spending his birthday night in front of his computer - that would be pathetic and lame.
![]() Chee Shin a.k.a Charcoal Gan refusing to pose for me. This shot made him the charcoal look as if he is burning. Thanks to the skillful photographer. Coca-Cola may want this photo to help them promote Vanilla Coke. We reached Jaya Jusco at around 10.30 pm when all the shop outlets are starting to close for business. We went up to the cinema to collect the tickets Mao booked online. A decision had to be made upon the choice of movie - National Treasure or Elektra. It was actually a no brainer decision for me to make - watch Nicholas Cage on a Walt Disney adventure movie or watch a butt-kicking Jennifer Garner cladded in a hot, red and sexy corset. Like Duh! Besides, Elektra is a sneak preview movie which means i get to watch it before many others do. Despite my views, we still have to discuss throughly to fit our friends that are coming later for the movie. At the end, the verdict was : ![]() Elektra ! That's the side of Wei Kiat's head on the right when i took this shot. Chee Shin called me primitive taking photos in public. ~sweat~ Since our movie doesn't start until an hour time which is 11.30pm, we decided to stroll around jusco while waiting for the others arrival. Every single shop was pulling down their steel doors and we basically have no where to go. The only place still with bright lights on is the supermarket section. Off we went to purchase some snacks in case our stomach grumbles during the show. Instead of the typical smuggled burgers from McD's , we smuggled these : ![]() 3 Pepsi Ice and 3 Snickers bars with a packet of Mentos and Hershey's Chocs in between. Wonder if I will have any commision for promoting so many products in my blog today. ![]() Wei Kiat in a blue-ish background. Still can't figure out why they won't take a pic. It isn't that primitive and caveman-ish. Clocks ticking. Stomach grumbling. We proceeded to sit at the HSBC counter where chairs and tables are provided to enjoy my Snickers. Soon, the whole place is dark and the only people coming in are couples for the midnight movie. Auto steel doors come out from places i did not expect. Now i know how it is when a shopping complex closes down at night. Another primitive guy - Mao decided to mess around with my digicam taking photos and ask me to post them here. Look Shin, I am not the only primitive one around. The photos below are Mao's effort. ![]() Mao asked me to post this photo and ask everybody to guess where we were. Honestly, that is a dumb question. ![]() The steel doors actually come down behind the Nokia counter. I didn't know that. Now I am promoting Nokia. ~sigh~ ![]() A photo taken by Mao when Wei Kiat ain't noticing. After much waiting, the rest of the gang arrived in the form of Kar Chun, Wei Yee, Han Kwang and Hai Liang. Elektra was next. Here comes the movie review part. Elektra is actually a spin-off from the Hollywood flop DareDevil starring Ben Affleck 2 years ago which didn't made it to Malaysian shores. Daredevil was banned by the moronic censorship board just because of the word devil. Guess Manchester United a.k.a The Red Devils should be banned too. The inconsistency. According to critics, Elektra was the only interesting character in Daredevil, so that's why the movie Elektra was made. Before the movie actually came out, the critics gave no compassion towards Elektra based on it's predecesser's failure. So, what do i think about the movie? Honestly, I think Elektra is pretty good. The movie was well done in the aspect of visual effects, sound effects and of course the actresses versality. Although the plot was kind of vague with the origins of the villains and the mystical stories, the focus was mainly on the lead character Elektra. Even though she can kill with a blink of eye and kick some serious butt, she still has an emotional side mainly dued to her childhood and the death of her mother which protudes the humanity in her. The movie is a little dark and mysterious with a slight gothic feeling to it. The villians and the fighting scenes are awesome with the mighty sound effect giving a helping hand. As an Alias fan ( I watched almost every episode of Alias ), watching Jennifer Garner fight with the very cool "sais" of her is definately a pleasure. The supporting cast wasn't that great besides the character of Abby. The young actress who portrayed Abby is a pretty decent actress despite her young age. I would recommend this film to comic fans, people who love fighting scenes and visual effects, and to Jen Garner's fans of course. This movie surpasses most comic book adaption such as Punisher, Hulk, Blade and Catwoman but is still mediocre compared to box office hits like Spider Man and X Men. If your not into this kind of stuffs, guess you shall pass on this film. ![]() Elektra ( Jennifer Garner ) showing her stuffs with her cool trademark weapon - Sais. Looks sure can kill. If you had pay attention, you will notice my blogskin is "gone". The big eye with a girl inside is nowhere to be seen anymore. No, i did not decide to change the skin or anything but i suspect the skin is gone because of the skin's creator image hosting website. There must be some problem with the bandwidth or something. I hope to fix this ASAP and hope everybody can wait too. Nobody likes a bland blog. Besides, the song " My Immortal " by Evanescence in my blog is said to be stale. Frankly, i agree with my friends although i like the song. I would appreciate any suggestions on the choice of song i should embed. Some song that fits my blog's style and appearance ( although there ain't much appearance now ). One more thing, to all the readers out there be it first time visitors or returning visitors, i wish readers can put their comments and views forward to help me in producing a better blog. Any constructive or destructive views is appreciated. I am still on the path of learning. Thanks in advance. My AS results are coming out soon. Next week to be precise. I have no ideas what to expect. I have no idea how i did too. The nervousness is clear within me. There are many " What If " questions lingering on my head. I hope everything turns out well so i do not have to resit the papers again which would jeopardize my results. >Wish me luck people! Hmm....anything more events springing out from my mind? Guess not at the moment. Look at the time, I should be sleeping by now. Ahh, one more thing. I failed my first shopping task today in Mid Valley today. Went home empty handed once more. ~sigh ~ What am i to do? Hope the following outings will produce some results. I am freaking tired right now after my basketball match and i havn't take a nap for more than 15 hours. A big deal for me. So, till then, signing OFF. Sunday, January 16, 2005
Saturday With a Yawn Sleeping a mere 3 hours proved to be a big mistake on my part. My eyes were barely open, strolling through my hall packing my stuffs like a zombie. I can't recall the last time i woke up at 7 am during a Saturday, it just ain't me. Walking with totaly-blurcaseness towards Chin Sheng's vehicle, we headed to Mont Kiara. We were suppose to play basketball at an indoor basketball court in a club in Mont Kiara that I did not bother to remember the name. Honestly, I was very reluctant to go but since Wee Shiong promised Chung Siew that the Klang Buddies will be there, breaking my promise just ain't a viable option. One more thing, the booking of the basketball court will not go easy with my wallet. We reached Taylor's College at 8 am picking up Wei Jie while waiting for Chung Siew to guide us to the club. Sleeping in the car have never been so comfortable even though wth mumblings of my friends which i don't bother to listen. When we reached the parking lot, a bunch of little kids were training football on the field in front of us. When i said little, i meant little. They were mostly 5 years old at the max caucasian kids wearing jerseys and shorts from Chelsea, Man U and Arsenal. Damn, kids are rich nowdays, I don't even own a jersey which cost approximately RM 300 and this 5 year olds have the full set and God knows how many more at home. Nonetheless, they look very cute but i can't get a clear shot of them with my camera as we were some distance apart. This is the best i can get with maximum zoom. ![]() I think this is suppose to be the Blue's team with their respective coaches. Our basketball game started off with Chung Siew's friends mixing up with the Klang friends since most of us from Klang ain't really good at basketball. Our average height was way shorter compared to them. Besides, one of us is actually a first timer which don't even know the rules. (Ahem, WeiJie). The game wasn't really interesting since Chung Siew's friends did not play seriously. Maybe they were looking down on us or just not in the mood to play with beginners, i find the game distasteful. No offense anyone. The constant yawning didn't help either. ![]() Taken when i was on the bench resting. The lighting in the indoor court is kind of dim. The flashlight did not provide much help. ![]() Another shot taken to test the quality of the photo. Did not turn out right too as it was just too dark in there. After one hour of indoor basketball, we proceed to the outdoor court for a few games. The sun was glaring down at us and it reduced the yawning effect on me. After the games, we were revealed the price we have to pay. A whooping RM 13 for just two hours of basketball. That seriously put a dent on our wallets. " My first and last time here, " claimed Wee Shiong. I agreed. This officially altered my financial state into - BROKE. ![]() Kwan Mun doing God knows what on WeiJie a.k.a William Hung of our class. ![]() Chin Sheng and Wee Shiong refused to pose for me. Snap a photo of them anyways. It was not a perfect Saturday but it was definately better than most where i stayed at home doing nothing. Chinese New Year is approaching and i havn't did any shopping yet. Hope i am in time to do some shopping, anybody willing to help shorten my indecisive method in shopping is kindly appreciated. I forgot, I am broke. Till then, signing OFF. Wednesday, January 12, 2005
Gathering Finally, a return to my faithful computer. Today, as i promised earlier, i am going to do a brief recap and of course some photos from the gathering organized by our ever so free and efficient XiRoa on the 8th of January 2005. ( This is actually a compliment, so don't think otherwise girl. ). Anyways, the recap will be short and brief since my mind is dominated by the inability to do maths rather than planning how to make my recap interesting. The gathering proved to be a successful one despite the fact only half of 6M students arrived. Nobody was shy or isolated at one corner proved we are a big family at heart...aww...how sweet. The gathering was held in a steamboat restaurant at Bukit Tinggi this time. Not a bad venue considering our organizer XiRoa took only 3 days to organize this reunion. Yeah, I am giving you all the credits you deserved XiRoa, so stop flaming me for not lending a hand and help. A lot of catching ups and gossiping were done and the nostalgic sweet memories resurfaced during one of our most innocent periods. Here are some photos from the day: ![]() The shy-of-girls Wee Shiong with his new military style haircut beside Joyce Tay.
Long time buddies. Never fail to see each other each week- Wei Kiat n Chee Shin. ![]() Siew Pheng and Jou Lene - An unexpected photo shot by WeiKiat while waiting for the soup to boil. ![]() Take two - WeiKiat loves to take candid photos of them.
Bon appetit - When food arrives, everybody wants a piece of it. ![]() Table one - the table with 3 girls ( later reduced to 2 ) surrounded by testosterone raging guys. ![]() Table 2 - Quite the opposite. Mostly girls and only 3 guys. ![]() A group photo of table 1. Top from left - Kwan Mun, Martin and Chin Sheng. Bottom from left - Chin Seong, Yong Jue, Xi Roa, Pei Sze , Siew Wen, Kenny and Jia Yao ![]() " Look! I am sitting next to my primary school crush ! I can't even resist the joy and smile on my face =) " Chee Shin and Siew Wen. The famous "couple" in Hin Hua and the reason for an extra guy in Table 1. ![]() Xi Roa the organizer with her best friend Siew Wen. ![]() Kenny, Jia Yao and Martin. The lack of smile may indicate time is wasted and let's go home and study. Who knows? ![]() Poh Suan and Chee Liew posing for me. ![]() The girls - Only Wee Chia ( bottom 2nd from left ) and Huei Yih ( top 2nd from right ) weren't on any of the photos before this. After the dinner, we decided to visit the mamak stall at Taman Rakyat, Andalas to discuss our next reunion venue. Too bad my digicam "betrayed" me at the last minute by blinking the no battery sign and shutting off by itself. So, i did not acquire any photos taken at Taman Rakyat. All i had was this photo when i wanted to test my battery once more. ![]() A blur photo in Taman Rakyat in front of some lighted coconut trees. The guys were joking at some stupid things we did during the past. So, that is all for today. Hope you people are satisfied. Problems with my blog is plaguing me right now and i can't write any further since it's kind of late. If i manage to acquire the photos at Taman Rakyat from my friend, i will post it here. So, till then signing OFF. Sunday, January 09, 2005
Back To Basics College starts tomorrow and i am doing my last minute packings searching for my long lost untouched notes buried somewhere among heaps of papers and books. I had been procrastinating throughout my holidays. I think i am going to feel the consequences of that! By the way, had a reunion on Saturday. Great moments. Will be updating you with photos and stuffs on my next entry cause i am basically late for bed. (Dad nagging beside me) Besides, i need to get some photos from my friends. I wasn't at home today either so the reunion recap is kinda delayed. Your patience is kindly appreciated. Lol. Hope tomorrow is a great day. Till then, signing OFF.
